Creative accounting: Issues, challenges and strategies

Abstract
Creative accounting refers to the practice of
manipulating financial statements and records to present a misleading or
distorted picture of a company's financial performance. The objective of this
paper is to analyse the issues, challenges and strategies of creative
accounting. It is found that creative accounting is likely to involve a
combination of stricter regulations, advanced technologies, and increased
stakeholder awareness, aiming to promote transparency, accountability, and
integrity in financial reporting practices.
